Youth Study Tour to Honduras: Ages 18-24

Interested in learning from other cultures? Do you wonder if your life in Canada is connected to other people around the world? Do you want your life to make a difference?

If you answer “yes” to these questions, then read on.

What could I expect if I go? You will team up with other Canadian youth .The team will travel across Honduras , live in a local village, visit various community projects, farms, plantations, factories and places of historic and cultural interest. You will experience the resourcefulness and resilience of the Honduran people. Expect to make new friends, to have fun, to learn, and to be changed.

When? Mid February - Dates TBA . (Spring break for most students.)

Who can participate? 10 Canadians (ages 18 to 24) from across Canada will be accompanied by a Foodgrains Bank appointed leader in partnership with local staff. Participants will be chosen largely on a first-come first-serve basis, but the Foodgrains Bank will be selective to ensure broad regional representation and gender balance. Multiple applications from a single church or youth group will be accepted.

Cost? The tour will cost $2,200—$3,000. This includes flight costs, in-country transportation, accommodation, travel insurance, all meals, etc. Participants will be responsible for passports and travel vaccinations.
