Christian Care is
continuing the second year of a three year program to alleviate critical food
insecurity for 480 households in the Chirumhanzu and Nyaminyami districts in
Zimbabwe. To recover from perennial droughts the farmers will participate in conservation
farming which is a farming technique that aims at optimizing yields using very
minimal resources in terms of seed, fertilizers and water and it also
significantly reduces soil disturbance while improving soil texture and
fertility.
