NCM Lanka is providing emergency food distributions to 20,000
internally displaced peoples who either were displaced by conflict or have
escaped from the areas of heavy conflict in Northern Sri Lanka in the civil war
between Sri Lanka government forces and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). NCM will provide two months of food to 20,000
people in the Manik Camp utilizing 248 tonnes of rice,
186 tonnes of vegetables, 62 tonnes of lentils, 19 tonnes of spices, 12 tonnes of
oil, 12 tonnes of salt and 12 tonnes of sugar.
