The Ethiopian Catholic
Church is providing food aid to the drought affected farming communities in
Anhar Woreda of Western Hararghe Zone of Oromia Regional State. The assistance
will provide 167 tonnes of food aid commodities (wheat, pulses & oil) to a
total of 3,725 beneficiaries for three months. The food assistance will be used
to fill a gap in food availability for affected vulnerable families through
December 2008 when new basic grain and other crops will be harvested.
