Hurricane
Felix hit the eastern coast of Nicaragua on September 5, 2007. World Food Programme, Red Cross,
the Catholic Church, and the government as well as The Social Development
Association of the Moravian Church in Nicaragua (ADSIM)
provided emergency support post Hurricane Felix to the end of December. ADSIM is providing food assistance to 2000 households
from February to April, 2008 at the same time as providing them with tools and
seeds to rehabilitate their land which was scarred by Hurricane Felix and
provide a harvest in 2009.
