Nepal, Seed project for Ten Communities in Eastern Nepal, #2396-11/12 (Year 1 of 2)

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) Nepal is supporting the first year of a two year project in ten communities in eastern Nepal. This project is designed to provide vegetable seeds for 1,200 families of four child development centres in the targeted area and other food insecure people (owning some land) in the ten village communities. There will be roughly 120 families participating in the project in each of the targeted communities. The organization intends to address the need for food / food sufficiency through increased consumption and diet diversity through vegetable production. The targeted households will be trained on holistic home gardens. The beneficiaries will be organized into 48 training groups and will receive training related to home gardens, food, health, nutrition, and social issues.
