The worst flooding in recent memory hit Burkina Faso this year. Heavy rains in July swelled rivers and inundated valleys throughout the country. Thousands of hectares of farmland have been destroyed and thousands of homes and granaries have collapsed. In response, CAMA Services/ACCEDES is implementing a 3 month food relief project in Houet and the \xe2\x80\x9cBoucle du Mouhoun\xe2\x80\x9d regions. The project will ensure that 1,000 flood-affected families (400 in Houet and 600 from the Boucle du Mouhoun) are able to eat at least two meals per day for three months.
