In June of this year, leaders of the eight most powerful countries in the world will hold a summit in Huntsville, Ontario.   This will be immediately followed by another summit of the twenty most powerful in Toronto.  Big issues will be on the table – the economy, the environment, security, development….but what about faith?

Leaders of all the major religions in Canada believe that we should bring our faith to the G8/G20. They have formed a partnership to influence the agenda and outcome of the summits.   Their collective statement  “A TIME FOR INSPIRED LEADERSHIP AND ACTION” calls on government leaders to fulfill the Millennium Development Goals, and to take courageous action in reducing poverty, addressing climate change and investing in peace.
